OUR GREATEST FEAR

OUR GREATEST FEAR —MARIANNE WILLIAMSON

It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,

talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.

There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other

people won't feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of

God that is within us.

It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine,

we unconsciously give other people

permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear,

Our presence automatically liberates others.

I am Rich, Intelligent and Bold. The world does not want me to be so but I was created to be so. The world wants me to shrink in fear but I refuse to. I was born beautiful. I was born rich. I was born successful. I was born prosperous. That's who I am. Everyday I walk in the light of who I am.

Thank you , I found myself shrinking in thinking it's a sign of humility and sometimes allow others take the glory fir my innovations and suggestions....its good to know ones worth. And rejoice in awe of all that God is doing in, with and through us. You are a blessing, I eagerly look forward to your posts. I love you.

Key take for me "Your playing small does not serve the world." "And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same." This scripture comes straight to mind “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” ??Matthew? ?5:16? ?KJV?? I'm greatly inspired. Thank you for sharing.

This is such a blessing Pastor. Thank you for the reminder. I love this poem, I first heard the poem from the movie spelling bee. It brought tears to my heart then and it still did today as I read your post. This poem encourages me especially the part which says by shinning we also give a chance for others to shine. This is what I will take in 2016, to shine and let my light sooo shine that men may see God. My prayers are always with you Pastor
